Who is a Dream Chaser? This is a very broad question and one cannot exhaust the answers. Nonetheless, there are some key factors that we should consider when it comes to whether or not one is a True Dream Chaser or not:

A true Dream Chaser must know how not to compare his or herself with others as it would only lead to jealousy, backbiting, and even envy. If someone is doing better than you, celebrate that person's success because that's the only way you too can be successful and not by being jealous. Jealousy would only lead to unhealthy competition and self-destruction. Someone is doing better than you can also mean that you're not doing enough. For all you know, you might just be comparing someone's 100 steps with your 10 steps… Exactly, it doesn't add up. So stop comparing yourself with others and focus your energy, time and resources to working on the better version of you.

A true Dream Chaser doesn't wait for succor before he will start chasing his dreams. He or she make good use of whatever is available. You should anticipate the help of no one, as it would most times lead to disappointment and wasted time. You see, it's not everyone that promised that would actually deliver. So all you have guaranteed is yourself and what you can offer. So stop waiting for the rain before you irrigate the land, you have a bucket; use it instead.

Next is the issue of procrastination. A true Dream Chaser never procrastinates. The time used in procrastinating can never be gotten back. So do whatever you're supposed to do at the right time. I have heard a lot of people say "Assuming I have the time, I would have done this, or I would have done that" but the truth still remains that we all don't have time, we just have to make out time. And the key factor is priority. A true Dream Chaser understands the power of NOW. All you can do now, do them because all you know is the situation at hand. You have no idea how clumsy or how occupied later/tomorrow will be, you have no idea the unforeseen events that may arise. So stop procrastinating and do it NOW.

The issue of self-doubt: A wise man once said: "Self-doubt kill dreams than failure does!" But the good news is, self-doubt is only in our head, so it can be tamed, controlled and even totally get rid of. Self-doubt is almost same as skepticism which is the biggest killer of dreams. If you're doubtful of success, you'll never be successful in life. Self-doubt is like a barrier tied to your feet. You can't move in such situation. Get rid of the barrier (self-doubt/skepticism) and see how you'd soar like an eagle.

So are you a True Dream Chaser?

  • Because you are doing a lot more than others doesn't mean you are getting a lot more done than others.

You don't get ahead by pulling others down.

If you wake up without a goal or dream then go back to sleep.

Tomorrow is a product of today's activity.

In order to change the world, you have to get your head together first... Change yourself then you can change the world!

Always be ready and willing to do more than what is expected of you.

What occupies your thought per time will determine your end in life.

What seems to be our major problem today is not the unavailability of resources but the confusion of purpose.

Without expectation, satisfaction/fulfillment can never be attained!

What you get by reaching your destination is not nearly as important as what you will become by reaching your destination.

Defeat never comes to any man until he admits it. Never admit defeat over your dreams and you will never be defeated!!!!!!

Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change the world. You too can change the world if you have both.

A winner is not a person that wins but a person that never gives up..
